Songster Music Quiz ("Songster", "we", "our") is developed by Richard Sandenskog. This policy describes how we handle your information.
We collect no personal data. Songster does not require account creation, does not track your location, and does not use analytics or advertising SDKs.
Songster uses Apple's MusicKit framework to access song previews and album artwork from the Apple Music catalog. This requires your device to have an active Apple Music subscription or access to the iTunes Store. We do not access your personal music library, listening history, or playlists. All music data is fetched directly from Apple's servers and is not stored by us.
If you choose to use Game Center features (leaderboards, achievements), your Game Center display name and scores are managed by Apple according to Apple's privacy policy. We do not have access to your Apple ID or Game Center account details beyond what Apple makes available through the Game Center API.
When you share a challenge, a URL is generated containing only the song IDs and your display name and score. This data is encoded in the URL itself — no data is sent to or stored on any server. The recipient decodes the challenge locally on their device.
All game data (scores, preferences) is stored locally on your device. We do not operate any servers that collect or store user data.
Songster uses only Apple-provided services (MusicKit, Game Center, iTunes Search API). We do not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.
Songster does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The app contains no user-generated content, social features requiring personal information, or in-app purchases.
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
